The International Law Association, Queensland Chapter is pleased to present special guest speaker Dr Radha Ivory on 8 April 2014.
Dr Ivory will address whether, in recovering assets that are or that represent the proceeds, objects, or instrumentalities of grand corruption, states violate the human rights of politically exposed persons, their family members, or associates. Are cooperative efforts to confiscate illicit wealth compatible with rights to property and due process in public international law?
