NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE INTERNATIONAL LAW ASSOCIATION (AUSTRALIAN BRANCH) 
AND END OF YEAR FUNCTION.

The AGM of the Association will be held at 5.30 pm on Wednesday, 9 December 2015 at the offices of Marque Lawyers, Level 4, 343 George Street, Sydney NSW. The agenda for the AGM can be found here (Attachment A).

The AGM will be followed at 6:00 pm by an end of year function, which will feature presentations by Dr Pauline Collins, Dr Emily Crawford and Dr Math Noortmann on the work of various international committees and study groups, as well as a talk by Dr Ralph Wilde on promoting global economic justice through human rights law.

The end of year function is open to both members and non‑members. Drinks and canapés will be provided. The cost of attendance is $10 (for members) and $20 (for non‑members). See this flyer for further details.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS OF CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION AS OFFICE‑BEARERS OR AS ORDINARY MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE

Members are invited to nominate candidates for election as an office‑bearer of the Association or as an ordinary member of the Committee. The office‑bearers of the Association are:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Director of Studies

Only members may be nominated. Nominations are to be made using the Nomination for Election form found here (Attachment B) and delivered to the Secretary (details below) no later than 5.30 pm on Wednesday, 2 December 2015. No nominations will be accepted after this date.

APPOINTMENT OF PROXIES

In the event that you are unable to attend the AGM and wish to appoint a proxy, please complete the Proxy Notice form found here (Attachment C) and return it to the Secretary by 5.30pm Tuesday, 8 December 2015.
