The International Law Association (Australian Branch) is hosting an end of year function on Monday, 4 December 2017 featuring a presentation by Professor Rosalind Croucher, President of the Australian Human Rights Commission. The event is being hosted by Baker & McKenzie at their offices on Level 27, AMP Centre, 50 Bridge Street, Sydney, from 5:30pm. Details for the event are set out in the event flyer.
The event will be preceded at 5pm by the 2017 Annual General Meeting of the ILA (Australian Branch).
The end of year function is open to both members and non-members. Those wishing to attend the event are requested to register their attendance by email to secretary@ila.org.au. The AGM is open only to members.
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS OF CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION AS OFFICE‑BEARERS OR AS ORDINARY MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE
The AGM will see the election of officer bearers of the ILA (president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and director of studies), as well as the election of ordinary members of the committee.
A member may nominate another member for election by completing the nomination for election form and sending the completed form to the Secretary no later than 5pm on Monday, 27 November 2017. No nominations will be accepted after this time. The completed form my be sent by email to secretary@ila.org.au, or by post to Alexander Kunzelmann, c/o Level 5, 4 National Circuit, Barton ACT 2600.
APPOINTMENT OF PROXIES
A member who is unable to attend the AGM may appoint a proxy by completing the proxy notice form and sending the completed form to the Secretary (details above) by 5pm on Sunday, 3 December 2017.
