How much does it cost to subscribe to the Australian International Law Journal (AJIL)?2024-11-13T11:22:14+11:00

If you wish to subscribe to the Journal, you must either:

  • Sign up as a full member or student member (with journal) of the Australian Branch; or
  • Pay for an annual subscription (including postage and handling)

For Australian Subscribers, the annual subscription rate is: AUD $50 for individuals, or AUD $70 for institutions.

For International Subscribers the annual subscription rate it: AUD $55 for individuals, or AUD $75 for institutions.

How do I Join ILA (Australian Branch) and Pay?2024-11-13T15:00:30+11:00

We want to make managing your ILA membership as easy and seamless as possible.

  1. Go to our website and click on Memberships > JOIN & PAY
  2. Select your desired membership and proceed to checkout
  3. Fill in your correct details:
  4. Enter your correct credit card then click PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button.
  5. You can now access your Account

If you are an ILA (Australian Branch) member, you will use your email address and password to login to the site.

When you log in to the website, it is ideal to use a desktop computer or a laptop.  The membership login will work on a phone and tablet but is not ideal.

  1. Visit the website: ila.org.au
  2. Click the link: “My Account”
  3. Enter your: email address
  4. Enter your: Password
  5. Click the button: LOG IN

You can reset your password at any time.

  1. Visit the website: ila.org.au
  2. Click the link: “My Account”
  3. Click the blue coloured link at the bottom: Lost your password?
  4. Enter your: email address
  5. Click the button: RESET PASSWORD
  6. You will receive an email from ILA website with a link that allows you to reset your password.

 

When are my ILA (Australian Branch) membership fees due?2024-11-13T11:25:18+11:00

Annual membership fees are due onthe 1st of January each year.  Membership of the Australian Branch is for one calendar year, i.e. membership will be valid for the remainder of the calendar year in which a member joins or renews their membership. Pursuant to a resolution of the Management Committee, members who join or renew their membership in the final quarter of the calendar year will automatically have their membership rolled over to the next calendar year at no extra charge.

Auto Renew is a convenient way to annually renew your membership before it expires.

 

By selecting the AUTO RENEW option, each year your credit card will automatically be charged the applicable fees for that membership renewal period (i.e. on 1 January of each calendar year).

  1. Login to your account in the website
  2. Go to My Account > My Subscription
  3. Tick the auto-renew to switch on or off

 

How will I be notified of any changes to the annual membership fees?2024-11-13T11:28:26+11:00

A renewal notice will be provided to you via email that will outline any changes to membership fees for the upcoming year.  This will be emailed to you prior to membership Renewal.

You can update your credit or debit card details online by:

  1. Login to your account in the website
  2. Go to My Account > My Subscription
  3. Click ACTIONS > CHANGE PAYMENT
  4. Scroll down and update your credit card details then click change payment

The option of Auto Renew will be in place for as long as you are happy for this arrangement to proceed, or until you opt out.

Are there any extra fees involved for the Auto Renew service?2024-11-13T11:44:48+11:00

No, the Auto Renew service is completely free, it’s available for your convenience.  The only fees paid are for your actual membership renewal fees.

What happens when my credit card is no longer valid or has funds (auto renewal payment is declined)?2024-11-14T10:49:59+11:00

The ILA website will attempt to use the last valid credit or debit card that you provided to renew your subscription.

If the payment fails, the ILA website will send you a notification by email.  Then you can provide your new credit card details by following these steps:

  1. Login to your account in the website
  2. Go to My Account > My Subscription
  3. Under the section ACTIONS > Click the link: CHANGE PAYMENT
  4. Scroll down and update your credit card details then click change payment
What should I do if I have selected Auto Renew and have changed my mind after I have renewed my membership?2024-11-13T15:07:19+11:00
